Not many fighters leave their mark in the sport so early, but the YouTuber-turned boxer has defied all odds and proved his naysayers wrong to become a hotshot of the game.
Prior to entering the sport of boxing, Paul had a successful career in entertainment. In fact, in 2017 he even bagged a role in Dwayne Johnson‘s action comedy film, Baywatch.
In this film, Paul played a role of an aspiring lifeguard who insults a fellow candidate in the queue. As a result, he gets thrown out from the beach for insulting the candidate.
However, this scene never reached the final film cuttings leaving the fans in awe. But in a video released later, Paul is seen chatting with ‘The Rock’ at the same juncture, and the duo rolls out a hilarious video for one and all.
This video captured everyone’s eye, and it left the hardcore Baywatch fans cracking up. Following this, Paul slowly began transitioning into the boxing universe. And nobody back then expected him to come this far.
With time he became a flag bearer of celebrity boxing bouts. ‘The Maverick’ paved the way for celebrities across numerous verticals to lace up the boxing gloves, thus enter the boxing ring.
