Did Teofimo Lopez go too far? As Ryan Garcia deals with the fallout from his positive PED tests following the Devin Haney fight, some sources report a controversial statement from Lopez about Garcia’s mother. Lisa Garcia, who recently revealed her breast cancer diagnosis, appears to have been the target of Lopez’s attack.

While appearing in an interview, ‘The Takeover’ recounted being offered a deal from Gatorade, which ultimately went to Ryan Garcia. Lopez claimed that ‘King Ry’ got the deal by selling out. He then referenced Garcia’s tweets about Bohemian Grove and suggested that Garcia’s mother’s breast cancer diagnosis was karma. Today, the Victorville native responded to Lopez’s statement on X.

Ryan Garcia promises vengeance

Ryan Garcia and Teofimo Lopez might not have had the friendliest relationship, but they haven’t been at each other’s throats like this before. Responding to Lopez’s statement on X, Garcia wrote, “Teofimo really said my mom got breast cancer bc I ‘sold my soul’”.

He added, “If I see him, their isn’t any fight. I will get it back in blood with him”. While Lopez’s statement was a bit disrespectful and bordering insensitive, it’s yet to be seen whether their latest drama spills over into a full-blown fight. However, this is not the first time these two have come close to exchanging blows.

After Garcia defeated Oscar Duarte last year, Lopez, in an interview, had revealed that he was offered a million dollars to face Garcia, but Lopez claimed he deserved more, so he refused the offer. That’s not even it! Teofimo Lopez has previously called Ryan Garcia just hype.

Teofimo Lopez Brushes Off Garcia’s Hype Ahead of Campa Showdown

In 2022, before his fight against Pedro Campa, a reporter from Fight Hype revealed Garcia’s promoter Oscar De La Hoya will attend his fight. To this, Lopez said, “I invited him two weeks ago to my fight. I’ve been inviting a lot of people across the board. There’s going to be a lot of stars coming out on Saturday night”.

At the time, the Garcia vs. Gervonta Davis fight had gotten postponed, so Oscar might have been scouting the fight to arrange a match between Garcia and Lopez. However, when asked about whether he was interested in a fight against Garcia, Lopez said, “I never say no to any fight, but right now, I’m focused on August 13th, Pedro Campa. Ryan Garcia, he’s just hype. He’s all happy because of his last performance, so he thinks he can take on everybody.”

As usual, Ryan Garcia is embroiled in yet another drama, but this time it might not be his fault, as the statement from Teofimo Lopez was indeed uncalled for. Not to mention, cancer is a serious disease which has taken countless lives. Do you agree? Let us know in the comments down below!
