Boxing legend Mike Tyson has had his fair share of altercations both in and out of the ring. Tyson was famous for creating chaos and havoc, which led to him getting the nickname the Baddest Man On The Planet.

So it came as no surprise when Tyson shared his thoughts on Will Smith’s infamous Oscar incident, where he slapped comedian and host Chris Rock. Iron Mike along with actor David Spade discussed the incident on the podcast Hotboxin’.

The pair were talking about another situation involving Kate Middleton where she could have slapped her child for misbehaving, which would have overshadowed Smith slapping Rock. However, that did not happen, and the pair went back to discussing the “slap heard around the world”.

Spade stated that Rock did not anticipate Smith to slap him and thought he would try to perform a joke.

“So Rock I think was probably shocked thinking Will was going up to do a joke or something or like you definitely don’t think the guy’s coming up to hit you and he’s been very quiet about it which I like,” said Spade.

Tyson responded, stating that Rock could sue Smith and that the Oscar-winning actor should anticipate some lawsuits. However, Spade claimed that Rock would not take legal action against Smith. “Yeah, I mean I don’t think he wants to feel like you’re ratting someone out,” Spade said. Tyson responded by stating that he did not need to sue Smith, but could sue the organization for not protecting him.

Spade then added that not much was done about the situation and that the slap might be fake.”I’m like right there is a problem because anywhere else you hit someone even if you’re on the bachelor and you hit someone I’m sure they yank you off the island. So there’s definitely something happens. So I don’t know I think it was. It’s troubling because I think they’re friends and I think Will has people. My friends think it was set up but it’s Will’s not going to ruin his career for a joke that never paid off.” He said.

Lastly, Tyson claimed that it was a bizarre incident that could be laughed about since it was over. “It’s just beautiful that it’s over and we can laugh about it,” said Tyson.

The infamous altercation between the two stars goes down in history as the most talked about event at the Oscars. Months later, while Will Smith has apologized to Chris Rock, the comedian is yet to accept his apology, at least publically.
