The legendary actor is capturing folks’ attention for the first time after getting secluded to a corner following the Oscars. His new movie ‘Emancipation’, a historical drama, is going to hit the screen in December. The movie’s trailer is out and is earning admiration for its content from all around and it has also put Smith again in the run for Oscars for his phenomenal acting.
Before the release, Smith is busy with the private screening of the movie. A glimpse of it could be seen on social media platforms.
The latest screening took place in Los Angeles. After this, ‘The King Richard’ star was captured talking about the former five-weight division champ.

“I want to say something also about Floyd. So, we’ve met each other, we’ve seen each other around, but we weren’t, you know, like friends. And the day after the Oscars, for 10 days he called me every day. And he was like, ’Ay, you know you the champ, right? You good? You know you the champ, right? I want you to hear my voice say it. Every day he called me, and it’s like that’s my dude forever right there,” Smith said.
This year’s Academy Award Ceremony brought the best actor award to Smith for his iconic acting, but it also pushed him into mental trauma due to the slapping incident. Criticism from all around put Smith in a difficult time. Though he apologized to Chris Rock, it made no difference.
Fortunately, he got a few people around him who keep supporting him. Mayweather was one such fellow who encouraged him to gain strength.
