

Icelandic strongman turned boxer Hafthor Bjornsson is basking in the glory of his recent win against Eddie Hall. Meanwhile, Bjornsson gave an update on his character in the new Game of Thrones series.

Bjornsson played the character of ‘The Mountain’ in the popular series ‘The Game of Thrones‘. Moreover, he was having an online Q and A session with his fans on Instagram.

In conversation, one of his fans asked him if he will be reprising his role for the latest installment of the series. The fan asked, “Will you be in the newest game of thrones?”

However, he disappointed his fans by nodding and revealing that he will not be a part of the series. His fans were distraught to know the champion strongman and boxer will not be back for his famous role.
When Hafthor Bjornsson fought Eddie Hall
Hafthor Bjornsson faced British strongman turned boxer Eddie Hall in a highly anticipated exhibition bout.

The duo had one of the fiercest rivalries during the World’s Strongest Man championships. In fact, Bjornsson went on to break Hall’s 500 kg deadlift record by lifting 501 kg.
It was announced in 2020 that the strongmen champions will be transitioning into boxing to face each other in the ring. Moreover, the duo lost massive amounts of weight to get into boxing. However, the fight had to be postponed after Hall suffered an injury.

It was later announced that the duo would face each other for an exhibition bout on March 19, 2022. The fight billed as ‘The Heaviest Boxing Match in History’ took place at the Dubai Duty-Free Tennis Stadium.
Bjornsson showcased a stellar performance winning five out of the six rounds. He was declared the winner by decision.
