William Scull has one shot, one opportunity to take everything he ever wanted on May 3. The IBF middleweight champ, of course, is set to face the biggest superstar in combat sports at the moment, the face of boxing in the form of Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez, at the ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Of course, this fight is seen as just another walk in the park for the Mexican superstar to set up a super-fight with Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford later this year.

However, if Scull, who is an overwhelming betting underdog, somehow manages to spring an upset as Rolly Romero did against Ryan Garcia on May 2 on the Times Square card, it would change his life and help him become generationally wealthy. However, we will have to wait until Saturday night to see whether or not that is true. In the meantime, let us take a look at Scull’s finances and net worth at the moment.

What is William Scull’s net worth in 2025?

Before we discuss the Cuban boxer’s net worth, let us remind ourselves what it means. Simply put, a person’s net worth is the difference between their assets and liabilities. This is why it is always important to remember that most of the net worths you see of celebrities online are guesstimates at best and just pure conjecture at worst.

The same disclaimer holds true for William Scull’s net worth, too. That being said, according to ‘Networthreported.com’, Scull’s net worth currently sits at $1.1 million. Like all other prize-fighters, most of the money Scull has made is from his fight purses. Unfortunately, the Cuban doesn’t seem to have any major brand endorsement deals, so almost all of the money he has earned has come from his twenty-three fights so far.

But with his set to fight the biggest name in boxing at the moment, under the aegis of the Saudis and their seemingly endless pit of money, the Cuban’s personal wealth and net worth are about to see a significant bump.

William Scull vs. Canelo Alvarez estimated purse

Canelo Alvarez is the face of boxing at the moment. So naturally, he was always going to get paid a lot of money to fight Scull. But even so, finding out that the former four-division champ will get $80 million (according to news outlet Marca) to face the +1400 underdog may be a bit of a shock for many.

What’s your perspective on:

Can William Scull defy the odds and shock the world like Rolly Romero did against Ryan Garcia?

Have an interesting take?

On the other hand, Scull, although making the biggest payday of his career, will make less than a tenth of Alvarez. The Cuban IBF champ’s purse is reported to be $3 million, which is still ten times his last (and probably highest till date) purse of $300k, which he made after beating Vladimir Shishkin in 2024.

This means he will make almost three times his current net worth in that fight alone. If Scull can invest some of that money smartly, he could well double or triple his net worth in the near future. And on the off-chance he wins, he will become one of the most famous men in the fight world, and become seriously wealthy, seriously quickly, as Dmitry Bivol did when he beat ‘Canelo’ in 2022. What do you think about William Scull’s net worth?
