The champion boasts a record of 12 wins with 8 losses. Meanwhile, the challenger, on his own, has an impressive record. His record stands at 14 wins with only one defeat. Who will this fight? Only time can, but we know that Edwards is the one co-promoting the event.

On X, the announcement was made official by @IntBoxingNews. It stated, “SUNNY EDWARDS TO PROMOTE EBU TITLE FIGHT! @letsgomanage and @SunnyEdwards have WON the purse bid for @TheRealEssomba’s European Bantamweight title DEFENCE against Elie Konki!” Meanwhile, the champion confirmed it from his end by simply stating, “Mr. Boxing.”
