Floyd Mayweather isn’t called boxing royalty just for his accolades. Yes! He is undefeated and a champion across multiple weight classes. But the boxing icon also happens to be the richest man the sport has ever seen. So much so that his nickname, ‘Money’ Mayweather, says it all. And if that doesn’t give you an idea of his wealth and lavish lifestyle, his social media feed certainly will.

Over the years, it’s become something of a tradition for Mayweather—who earned over $1.2 billion in his career—to flaunt his riches whenever the mood strikes. This time, he returned to his favorite prop: bundles of cash, posed effortlessly inside his ultra-luxurious private jet.

Just another day in the life of Floyd Mayweather
Earlier today, the 48-year-old hopped on Instagram to share a snap from his private jet ride. Sitting by the window with a table in front of him covered in several stacks of cash neatly lined up, Mayweather looked out the window without a worry in the world. He captioned the post, “I just be minding my business!”
The boxing icon reportedly owns two private jets—a customized Gulfstream G650 nicknamed ‘Air Mayweather,’ which is said to have cost around $60 million, and another Gulfstream, named ‘Air Mayweather 2,’ which he bought last year. While the price of the second jet remains undisclosed, such purchases hardly make a dent in Mayweather’s fortune.

After all, he pocketed over $200 million from two different fights—his 2015 bout against Manny Pacquiao and his 2017 showdown with Conor McGregor. He also ranks 10th on Sportico’s ‘50 Highest-Paid Athletes of All Time,’ boasting inflation-adjusted career earnings of $1.52 billion. Since retirement, Mayweather has continued to add to his wealth through high-profile exhibition bouts.

He earned a reported $100 million from his exhibition with Logan Paul alone. Beyond boxing, he has also ventured into real estate through his investment firm, Vada Properties, which acquired a massive portfolio of 62 rental apartment buildings in upper Manhattan for $402 million. And from the looks of his future, that fortune is only set to grow.

‘Money’ Mayweather is set for big comeback fights
Earlier this year, the boxing icon revealed that he is set to face legendary heavyweight Mike Tyson in an exhibition bout sometime next year. While the exact date and venue remain under wraps, one thing is certain—the payout for that fight will be massive. But that’s not the only matchup putting Floyd Mayweather back in the headlines.
Rumors of a long-awaited rematch between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather have been circulating for days. According to Ring Magazine’s Mike Coppinger, the two boxing legends have been in talks, and the outlet now reports that the rematch could take place as early as April at The Sphere in Las Vegas, streaming live on Netflix.
Pacquiao himself added fuel to the fire, suggesting the deal is nearly finalized. “I feel like we are almost in agreement with each other. There are a lot of things we agree on, but there are just a few conditions we are still negotiating. If the fight happens, it will probably happen in Las Vegas.”
Considering how much their first fight generated, a rematch could easily surpass those record-breaking numbers. For now, though, Mayweather seems content living his best life—and by the looks of his recent post, he’s doing just fine.
