Tommy Fury had his homecoming fight against KSI last week. ‘TNT,’ had a big advantage over the YouTuber coming into the bout, being a professional boxer who trained in the sport since his childhood days. Surprisingly, KSI rose to the occasion, and despite being the underdog gave Tommy Fury a tough fight till the final bell. However, the British YouTuber fell short and was defeated by Fury via a controversial unanimous decision. A section of the boxing world expressed resentment towards the decision. Hearn and KSI linked up once before for the boxer’s rematch against Logan Paul. Back then, Hearn welcomed influencer boxing with open arms. But was he a fan of KSI’s performance against Fury and the bout as a whole? No. Although he appreciated the event altogether, he criticized the KSI vs Tommy Fury fight. According to the CEO of Matchroom Boxing, the bout was dreadful, and he even asserted that the judges should have refrained from scoring the bout.
According to @MichaelBensonn, the boxing journalist, Hearn stated, “Really at the end of the fight they should’ve just said, ‘We’re actually not gonna score this, it was really bad, we’re sorry, we’re just gonna go home.’ I thought KSI edged the fight. Probably the worst fight I’ve ever seen. But what an event.”

Tommy Fury weighs in on his fight against KSI
Tommy Fury acknowledged that the bout was far from entertaining and a horrible watch. However, he does not blame himself but KSI. According to him, the YouTuber did not press forward enough and did not put on a show. In an interview, he stated, “I don’t know, I don’t know, we’re gonna see. Because that was a horrible fight to be a part of. He didn’t wanna fight, he didn’t want to stand there and give the fans a good fight.”
