Despite sitting pretty at the top in the boxing world and in terms of finances, he took time to remember the not-so-fortunate.

Days before Christmas, Alvarez seemingly became Santa Claus and gifted children with some toys.

ESPN KnockOut shared a video of Canelo driving a mammoth trailer that was loaded with toys. In the caption, they wrote, “The man from Guadalajara appeared in Nuevo León with a trailer loaded with 5,500 toys to distribute among the children of the DIF,” (All quotes translated from Spanish to English via Google Translate)

Canelo had a dream super-middleweight run in 2021. He first battled Avni Yildirim and defended his title via a third-round stoppage. Three months later, he squared off with Billy Joe Saunders for a 168-pound title unification fight. 

‘Superb’ could not withstand Canelo’s brilliance and his corner waved off the fight following round 8. Finally, Alvarez boxed Caleb Plant for the undisputed throne and claimed a gratifying round 11 T / KO win.
