Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. are breaking their respective retirements to lock horns for an exhibition clash on November 28. The high-voltage matchup has already made a lot of buzz in the combat community.

Despite having no gate sales, it is reported that Mike Tyson will still bag a lucrative amount of $10 million and Roy Jones Jr. will receive $3 million from the fight. However, several people have already demeaned the event for its newly regulated rules, which has turned it from a fight to a sparring exhibition.  Apart from that, boxing reporter Kevin Iole has also billed it as “the worst promotion” he has ever seen in his life.

Although ‘Triller’ has constantly promoted their upcoming event, the veteran boxing reporter is still unimpressed. Iole has turned to Twitter and condemned the event.

In his tweet, Iole touched on his experience in covering the sport. While he has seen several big fights live including the 1981 title matchup, he isn’t impressed with Triller’s promotion over the Tyson vs Jones fight. He wrote, “Absolutely horrendous promotion, no close runner-up. That’s saying a lot.”

More Details on the Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr fight

The event isn’t turning out like the entire fanbase expected it to be in the initial stage. There will be no winner, and it’s just a mere sparring exhibition between two former world champions.

Also, Tyson and Jones will not knock each other out. If anyone sustains a cut or an injury, it will be the end of the fight. That said, it might not attract the attention of hardcore fans anymore. Especially when there’s a heavyweight clash between Daniel Dubois and Joe Joyce happening on the same day.

However, it will still be good for the old-era fans to see two of their former champions return to action even if it to be a sparring exhibition. The Tyson vs Jones fight will be available on BT Sport, FITE tv, and Tyson on triller.
