WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury made headlines after he called out Anthony Joshua for a fight. However, the bout could never materialize as negotiations between the parties fell through. Fury will now face Dereck Chisora in three weeks before Christmas at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Despite not getting his desired fight, The Gypsy King pocketed over $11,000 for a bet he made with his promoter Frank Warren. The pair made a bet of £10,000 or $11,275 on whether the fight with AJ will go through. Warren was confident that the fight would go through, however to his dismay this would not happen following which he lost the money to Fury.

Fury Chisora 3 is disappointing but whatever fans AJ has left can’t say a peep about it that’s all I know https://t.co/k398AwOEXn

However, one fan claimed that flaunting money before a fight which won’t do very well on PPV was not a good look.
Throwing 10 grand about like it’s twenty quid is not a good way to advertise a PPV fight that’s already a farce. https://t.co/fuGY9qHrmz

One fan even called Fury a fraud and stated that he only gave Joshua 15 days to sign the contract while doubling it for Chisora.

Moreover, another fan called out Fury for always changing the narrative. He stated that while Fury is a good boxer, the sport would have been better without him.
So much twisting of narrative. Says one thing one day and another some other day. Fury is a great fighter but boxing would be so much better without him. Gave Chisora so much time, no countdowns but says AJ must sign in 1 day. A fight much harder to make. What a joke.

One fan was disgusted by Fury’s brash flaunting. He claimed that while people were struggling to feed their families, Fury was wasting money like he was playing Monopoly. An
Tbh makes me feel a bit sick that, people struggling to feed their families owing to the cost of living crisis and you guys treating money like a game of monopoly. I know Tyson has done loads for charity though.. but still!

Another fan hilariously stated that Warren has already given his PPV share to Fury with the $11,000.
Frank Warren given away all his Fury Vs Chisora pay for view buys already 🙈
— Ross Webster (@Rossco810106) October 20, 2022
Lastly, One fan added on the low predicted PPV numbers for the fight. He stated that Fury made more from this bet than he will from his PPV share.
probably more than he'll make from yours and his farcical PPV against chisorsa. 🤞it bombs and you lose a packet
