Errol Spence Jr. and Terence Crawford are currently two of the biggest names in the welterweight division. With the former being the unified champion of the division and the latter being the top contender. Fans have been long anticipating an explosive showdown between Spence Jr. and Crawford. But the talks for the same have never reached fruition. Meanwhile, boxing legend Manny Pacquiao recently announced that he wishes to come out of retirement to face the duo.

‘Pac-Man‘ is the first and only eight-division champion in the history of boxing. Moreover, during his prime, he was one of the most formidable champions in the welterweight division.

Pacquiao was recently on an interview with Lance Pugmire of FightHype.

Manny Pacquiao wants to fight Terence Crawford and Errol Spence

In conversation, Pugmire asked Pacquiao about the potential Terence Crawford vs Errol Spence fight. And also drew parallels between Pacquiao’s fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. In response, Pacquiao said, “I’m eager to fight with them because to test them. If they’re really champions. Because I’ve been fighting a lot of boxers in 147, 140, 135. I’ve been fighting will all the, one of the greatest boxers in the world. So I want to test them.”

Talking about his retirement, Pacquiao further added, “Even though I was retired for more than a year. I keep on working, playing basketball, workout almost every day.”

Notably, Pacquiao announced his retirement after his loss against Yordenis Ugas in 2021.

Fans share their thoughts on Pac-Man’s statement

Fans were unsure about Pacquiao’s desire to fight Spence and Crawford. In fact, they took to social media to share their thoughts about the same.

Some fans were quick to point out that it is not a good idea. Moreover, they also mentioned that he was not the best self in his pre-retirement fight against Ugas.

Similarly, a few fans stated that Pacquiao has to stay retired. And also mentioned that he has nothing left to prove.

User @RolloNA4Doe mentioned that Pacquiao was looking for a payday. However, user @CWill1026 contradicted this by saying that Mayweather is doing the same with his exhibition fights.

But, user @UnFadeable21 took a swipe at Spence and Crawford instead. And stressed that the duo does not have the courage to face each other.
