Whyte last competed for the title against Tyson Fury, a match in which he was knocked out in the sixth round. However, Whyte feels that Wilder should have offered him a chance at the title when he was the champion. Before Fury snatched Wilder’s WBC title, Whyte was a mandatory challenger for the belt. Despite this, he was never given a shot at the title.
It looks like ‘The Body Snatcher still feels some animosity towards Wilder as he sounded off on the former Olympian. In an interview with SportsMail, Whyte claimed that Wilder was an ‘actor’ and a ‘fraud’. “This guy is an actor. Everything he does is an act. Even fake crying at. I was just like, ‘you just make me sick, you piece of sh!t.” He said.
Moreover, he then added that Wilder still did not want to face him and questioned why he would not give the number 1 contender a title shot. ” Heard that Wilder still doesn’t want to fight me. He is the biggest fraud in all of sport–never mind boxing. Who doesn’t fight his No. 1 contender for four years and then claims he’s the greatest of all time? He hasn’t actually beaten anyone of note yet. He is just a cowardly con man.” he added.

Whyte certainly did not hold back in dismissing ‘The Bronze Bomber’. However, he will have his focus on Franklin, who is currently undefeated and rising up the ranks in the heavyweight division.
Dillian Whyte details his confidence in coming back
The loss to The Gypsy King has not affected Whyte, as he detailed how coming back from defeat has always been the case for him. In an interview with the BBC, he stated that the loss was a part of his life, but comebacks were what he did best. ““Coming back from defeat or bad situations, or ups and downs, is of one of the things I know how to do best. Which is very sad, but it’s me,” said Whyte.

‘The Body Snatcher; was knocked out by Anthony Joshua back in 2015, handing him his first professional defeat. However, he still managed to bounce back and challenge for titles. This unswerving determination is what has kept him in the division filled with talented boxers for so long.
