Mike Tyson details his experiences with Ayahuasca and the Bufo Alvarius toad

In the podcast, ‘Iron’ Mike revealed that he was not a fan of Ayahuasca. According to him, drinking the brew made from the plant can cause excessive belching and farting, which he found to be uncomfortable. However, the Bufo Alvarius was different in the sense that it took him “straight to God.”

“I did that a couple of times. That’s a lot of work. That’s a lot of work. Oh, okay, yeah. Drink all. You gotta drink that stuff, and you might be belching and farting all day. So, I don’t like that. That’s a lot of work. The toad takes you straight to God,” said Tyson.

A look into the psychedelic drugs consumed by Tyson

Ayahuasca is a potent brew made from the ayahuasca vine and other plants, traditionally used by indigenous people in the Amazon region for spiritual and medicinal purposes. It is infamously known for inducing intense visions and a profound sense of connectedness with the universe. On the other hand, the Bufo Alvarius toad, also known as the Sonoran Desert toad, secretes a substance called 5-MeO-DMT, which is said to be one of the most powerful psychedelic substances in the world. ‘Iron’ Mike had widely different experiences with both.

Ayahuasca can interact negatively with certain medications and can cause severe physical and psychological distress. The Bufo Alvarius toad, on the other hand, can be lethal if not handled properly, as it contains other toxic compounds that can cause harm. Since these substances can have profound effects on one’s consciousness, it is safe to stay away from them.
