Eddie Hearn recently opened up about his conversation with Floyd Mayweather at the Anthony Joshua fight. Mayweather was in attendance at the Englishman’s fight against Kubrat Pulev.

The Londoner won via a vicious knockout and even ran straight to Floyd Mayweather after the fight. However, Eddie Hearn has now come out and shared his dialogue with the legendary boxer.

Speaking to the media ahead of the Gennady Golovkin vs Kamil Szeremeta fight, Hearn answered a question about Mayweather’s attendance at the event.

The promoter then said, “I actually said to Floyd on Saturday night. He was at the ‘AJ’ fight, I said, ‘You need to be careful. This is a very, very tough fight you have with Logan Paul. And he asked me, ‘You serious?’ I said, ‘No I’m not’.”

This is in light of Mayweather’s surprising decision to take a fight against YouTube sensation Logan Paul. Hearn has previously worked with Logan Paul; he organized the second fight between him and UK YouTuber KSI.

Despite the criticism that the event received, it was a successful event as far as Hearn was concerned.

However, he had no problem sarcastically trolling Logan Paul ahead of the fight. This also shows that the Englishman believes Mayweather will have no problem dispatching the internet sensation.

Eddie Hearn said he is looking forward to a Jake Paul vs KSI fight.

The promoter did not leave at that, though. He did comment on the hottest topic of YouTube boxing, Jake Paul. He said, “I think Jake Paul’s okay. Jake Paul’s a good fighter. I think the one I would be interested in is the Jake Paul against KSI.”

Clearly, Hearn rates Jake Paul as a fighter, and being the businessman he is, must relish the opportunity to organize that potential event as well.

Hearn was the first one to take YouTube boxing onto the professional stage. He received a lot of harsh criticism but believed the monetary value and the potential for new fans was too much to pass off on.

Ultimately, with the situation we find the sport in now, it is clear that Hearn set the precedence for this. Do you agree with YouTubers fighting professional boxers?
