Ryan Garcia has switched his fair share of trainers over the past few years! However, it seems the Victorville native is missing the good old days when he used to train in Canelo Alvarez’s adopted training base in Eddy Reynoso‘s House of Boxing gym in San Diego. And guess what! Boxing fans claim Garcia should go back to the gym.

Initially trained by his father, Henry Garcia, ‘King Ry’ joined Reynoso’s gym in 2018. However, he parted ways with Canelo and Reynoso in 2020, claiming the trainer didn’t have time for him. Then he moved on to training with Joe Goossen, but even that didn’t last! After losing to Gervonta Davis in 2023, he left the trainer and shook hands with Derrick James. Nevertheless, as he gears up to face Devin Haney on July 20, he reminisced about training in Reynoso’s gym by sharing old training footage on social media.

Garcia wrote, “I’ve trained with one of the best fighters of this generation. I fight hard in [every] aspect of my life. 4-20 on @daznboxing, nothing less. I’m winning this fight, and finally, things will be put to rest.” It’s worth mentioning that the upcoming fight will be Garcia’s seventh encounter with Haney. So, fans highlighted what training with Canelo could have done for the boxer.
