It turns out Shakur Stevenson has two Davis’ in his life. While one is friendly, the other is a potential rival. In a recent turn of events, Keyshawn Davis, the friendly one, turned to Instagram with sweet words of motivation for Shakur Stevenson. ‘Sugar’ is coming off a unanimous decision win over Edwin De Los Santos. Yet, the victory took a bittersweet tone as the boxing world condemned Shakur’s lackluster act in the ring.

Although, Keyshawn ‘The Businessman’ Davis did not share the same sentiments. Davis, who many consider a superstar in the making, stood beside the recently crowned three-division champion. So, while penning sweet words of motivation for Shakur, Davis also shared pictures and clips from the dressing room moments before the clash. Here’s what Davis had to say to Shakur after the fight on Thursday night.

Shakur Stevenson is more than a ‘unanimous’ champion

The boxing world wasn’t alone in thinking the fight was bad. Even Shakur Stevenson suggested the same and admitted that he wasn’t “feeling too good.” Even though he rendered Edwin De Los Santos’ offenses useless, he felt that he wasn’t 1o0 percent during the fight. But not before asking critics to stop watching his fights if they don’t want to. Turning to X (formerly Twitter), the new WBC Lightweight World Champion admitted that he wasn’t at his best during the fight. “Wasn’t 100 percent tonight, no excuses,” wrote Shakur.
