Things didn’t quite work out for Ryan Garcia with Rolly Romero, so the Victorville native is back to square one! In a recent update, the former WBC interim lightweight champion has announced that the fight against Devin Haney is back on the table! While making the revelation, he also decided to take digs at ‘The Dream’ Haney, rousing a response from Bill Haney.

In an interview with Fight Hype, ‘King Ry’ stated, “I’m just telling you [Bill]. You’re going to have three chances in the fight to help your son out. I [will] look at you every time, I [will] give you that look like, you better stop it.” As expected, Bill decided to respond to the statements from Garcia in a video shared on YouTube yesterday by Fight Hype. 

Bill Haney unsure of what to call Ryan Garcia

Hours after Ryan’s interview went live, Papa Bill stated, “I don’t know whether to call him crying Ryan, lying Ryan or is he on top of his game now Ryan.” It’s worth mentioning that Garcia was using a face roller during his interview with FightHype.

Bill decided to bring it up in his response, stating, “You say you going to make me throw in the towel or me do this, or me do that. Ryan, before I do anything, what is that thing you rolling? I see you roll it on your face and s**t.”

Highlighting it, Bill Haney added, “Let us know what is that, and that is something that we are not going to use cuz you still look like you stressed the f**k out.” However, Bill did agree to negotiate further if Garcia was serious about fighting his son.

Meanwhile, during the same interview, Garcia apologized to Devin Haney for backing out of their initial negotiations, which may have elicited an agreement from Bill.

Garcia claims he just wants to make the best deals

While speaking to Ben Thompson from Fight Hype, Garcia reflected on his decision to back out from the fight against Haney. He claimed he was in Las Vegas with Floyd Mayweather and had gotten influenced by him and decided to cancel the negotiations. Ironically, however, Garcia now wants to apologize to Haney since Rolly Romero did the same thing to him. 

“I do want to make an apology of [sorts]…I won’t even say apology. I would just say, like what I meant [is] this game Devin, no disrespect, it’s just more of a banter in a way, mind games in a way. [Whatever way] you want to see it,” said Garcia. Later in the interview, he even suggested, “I’m just out here trying to do the best business deals possible.”

With Rolly pulling a fast one on Garcia, the latter wants to restart his negotiations with team Haney. However, Garcia’s claim that he would make Bill Haney throw in the towel did not bode well with Papa Bill, as he retorted with some digs of his own.
