Boxing legend and former heavyweight champion Frank Bruno is all over the headlines this past week. Britain’s ‘Big Frank’ has met the likes of Mike Tyson and Lennox Lewis in the ring in the past. Decades later, however, Bruno turned to social media to share a recent meeting with them outside the ring ahead of Christmas. So, the boxing world flocked to express their thoughts about it. 

Not so long ago, the UK’s Under-Secretary of State for Mental Health and Women’s Health Strategy, Maria Caulfield, visited Bruno. This comes after the former champion condemned the government for not including a mental health bill in the King’s speech earlier. ‘Big Frank’ has been one of the biggest proponents of mental health since he exited the ring for good. However, today, he has become the talk of the town for his snap with Mike and Lennox.

Frank Bruno: I would love a takeaway buffet

On December 22, Bruno took to X (formerly X) with the picture and a message for his followers. The Wandsworth resident wrote, “Evening Got to be a takeaway tonight hasn’t it? I would love a takeaway buffet bit of Chinese, bit of Indian, fish and chips piece of pizza, bit of Mexican then I think I’ll settle with cheese on toast with some lea and Perrins lovely.” 

He also added, “have a good night if your out out don’t party too hard.” Since the tweet started circulating on the platform, it has collected 650K views, 6.2K hearts, and nearly 500 comments from people cheering the unexpected reunion of the three stars of the ring. While some commented about the picture, others wished him a Merry Christmas.

Fan wonders about the combined earnings of Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, and Bruno 

The Hammersmith native faced Mike twice (1989 & 1996) in the ring, putting on a great fight but could not secure a win. The same happened again when he met Lewis in the ring in 1993. But years past their rivalry, their recent picture had the fans cheering for them. One user praised the picture while suggesting cheese and toast with Worcestershire sauce would be great in response to the caption. The user wasn’t done, as he wished Bruno a Merry Christmas.

Another user questioned how much the combined career earnings were between Mike, Lennox, and Bruno. According to reports, their combined earnings from boxing is somewhere around $440 million.

Someone else questioned Bruno if Mike had offered him magic mushrooms.

The next user claimed Lennox and Bruno made Mike appear small.

One user suggested he is an ‘Iron’ Mike fan, but back when Bruno fought Mike, the user was cheering for the former.
