An interesting heavyweight beef between Anthony Joshua and Joe Joyce has erupted out of nowhere, which can actually materialize into an interesting matchup. Having lost his heavyweight titles to Usyk in September 2021, ‘AJ’ is now under the vicious clutches of criticisms. Meanwhile, Joe Joyce has added some more scratches by referring to Joshua’s current conditions.

Anthony Joshua was seemingly aligned to rematch Usyk for his lost belts. However, Oleksandr Usyk is currently serving his home country Ukraine amid some serious conflict with Russia. He has claimed to prioritize his national duties over defending the belts, which can urge Joshua to accept an interim fight before challenging the champion.

Amid several big names, Joe Joyce is a potential contender for ‘AJ’ and the ongoing social media banter validates that even better. The entire feud began when trainer Shane McGuinn backed ‘AJ’ to beat ‘Juggernaut’ if they ever collide. Joe Joyce took to Twitter and went all-off against McGuinn.

Anthony Joshua chimed into the scene and didn’t hesitate to boast his supremacy over the unbeaten Joe Joyce.

He wrote, “Lol ok … I’ve shared this ring with most people you see in the heavyweight division today! I boxed Otto wallin twice as youngsters & I boxed joe and stopped him in 1 round. I’d do the same thing today! Ain’t nothing changed.”

In response, Joyce wrote, “ And @anthonyjoshua you having a meltdown, where’s all your belts? All those sponsorships and endorsements helping? You’re a glass cannot, quit the act, you were given everything.”

Neither side held back, and the banter kept forwarding. No wonder the Brit pugilists can offer the fight fans an alluring treat by going against each other. So, all of these make sense at this point.

Anthony Joshua vs Joe Joyce can continue the Brit dominance in the heavyweight division

The WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and his mandatory Dillian Whyte will unveil an epic All-English heavyweight title clash on April 23 at Wembley. If Joyce and AJ can finalize their rivalry into an official fight, it will be another epic Brit-fight into the foray.

However, AJ can wait for his turn to challenge for the lost heavyweight titles directly. In that case, an interim fight against Joy Joyce will clearly be threatening, especially in the current condition. Having lost lopsidedly against Usyk, AJ cannot afford to lose again.
