As boxing returns to the live scene after a brief halt of months, ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson will return against Roy Jones Jr. in an 8-round exhibition bout on September 12. The fight is reportedly going to be set in California. Moreover, the undercard will also feature a lucrative fight between YouTuber Jake Paul and former NBA star Nate Robinson.

Tyson, 54, was served with plenty of names for his in-ring comeback. From Evander Holyfield, Jon Jones, Wanderlei Silva, to Shannon Briggs, Tyson teased a matchup against all of them.

However, Tyson has finalized his opponent as former world champion Roy Jones Jr. The duo has signed the contract publicly, and the matchup is officially up. The match will be historic for fight fans, who will witness two veterans return to the sport.

Heavyweight great Tyson has reportedly started a new venture. He is planning to stage a return for several legendary athletes. No wonder then, it has already thrilled the entire sports community.

Mike Tyson vows to bring back legends from several sports

Tyson posted a short video clip via Twitter and revealed his upcoming venture ‘Legends only League’. The Boxing veteran is ready to lace up the gloves again, and he wants other legends to do the same. Thus his new venture will draft how to bring back the sports icons. However, the ‘Baddest Man’ hasn’t revealed the names of those, whom he wants to make a comeback.

Tyson also vows that the venture is not only about boxers and fighters. It is for all those athletes who desire to relive their glory years. Since Tyson holds a healthy relationship with MMA veteran and NBA stars, it won’t be surprising if he collaborates with them.

Tyson is one of the greatest knockout artists of all time, flexing 44 knockouts amongst 50 wins in his record. However, he hasn’t competed since 2005. ‘Iron’ Mike faced the sixth and final loss of his pro boxing against Kevin McBride in 2005. It was his last fight and Tyson hung his boxing gloves after the contest.

In between Tyson was called out several times by umpteen legends but none of us expected him to break retirement. Yet, Tyson shocked us once again by breaking retirement at the age of 54. A move, which many might not make at that age.

Now, at 54, Tyson once again sharp. His Instagram videos have already attracted fans, and it seems that he is once again living his prime. While Tyson vs Jones Jr is final now, the boxing community gets to witness their ‘Baddest Man’ fight once again.
