Leonard Ellerbe, the CEO of Mayweather Promotions, gave fight fans something to be very excited about. The CEO of the company, who manages Gervonta Davis, gave his thoughts on the fight after the weigh-in.

The two will face each other in a highly anticipated fight on October 31. The event will be a pay-per-view event on Showtime Boxing.

After both fighters successfully made weight, Ellerbe spoke to Fighthype.com on YouTube.

“Tank is in tremendous shape, and you guys are going… Tomorrow night, I promise you, you’re going to see the best of Tank Davis that you’ve never seen before. I promise you that.”

This came after there were concerns about Davis’ weight cut. However, the CEO of his promotional company is having none of it.

He further said, “I’m not going to tell you what it is, but you will see the best version of Tank Davis that no one has ever seen before.”

With this comment, he gave fight fans a teaser of what is coming. Davis, who is already a world champion, spoke a lot about improving every fight. And an improved ‘Tank’ Davis is a scary prospect for any fighter.

Ellerbe was full of respect for the opponent. He said that Santa Cruz will not be an easy fight for Davis, and that is why the 25-year-old had to improve. He said:

“I think Leo is going to try and do everything he needs to do to try and get the ‘W.’ Whatever, whatever it takes, he’s going to try his best to do it, He’s going to lay it on the line. I expect nothing less from him.”
