The boxing world can finally witness the showdown between two fierce rivals who have been going at each other for a long time. Former WBA interim lightweight champion Rolando Romero will take on Gervonta Davis for his WBA (regular) lightweight title.

Rolando Romero reveals what really happened between him and Gervonta Davis
During an interview with EsNEWS, Rolando Romero shed some light on the prior altercation with Davis. He explained Tank shoved him out of nowhere and he retaliated. Rolly stated, “I was saying hi to f**k**g Floyd and Leonard and Tank just comes up and f****** pushes me I don’t know and I go to swing at him and he gets behind one of Floyd’s bodyguards.”

Romero added that Mayweather broke the guys apart and revealed that the boxing legend brutally called Tank a disgrace. According to Rolly, Floyd said, “Floyd called saying what the f*** are you guys doing you f****** dumbass you’re a disgrace to this fucking company.”

Additionally, Romero revealed that Tank, who was Mayweather’s protégé, couldn’t bear what he had just heard.

Following a long-standing beef, the two lightweight fighters will finally go toe to toe on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Davis will be defending his WBA (regular) lightweight championship.

Both fighters come into this bout undefeated with a perfect record. Rolly is coming off an impressive stoppage win against Anthony Yigit. Whereas, Davis displayed a masterclass in his win against Issac Cruz.
