While former Showtime Sports President Stephen Espinoza is in the market job hunting, boxing matchmaker and insider Rick Glaser has not made it easy for him through this difficult time. The duo has been involved in several verbal bouts on social media since Paramount, Showtime’s parent company, decided to shut down the broadcasting network in late 2023.

Just a few days ago, Glaser took a cheeky jab at Espinoza and called him an “unemployed f**ing weasel.” On Wednesday, the boxing insider and IBHOF elector once again attacked the former Showtime President as the latter brought up 50 Cent’s revelation of his denial for an appearance at a Donald Trump rally.

Rick Glaser Brutal Attack On Stephen Espinoza

A few days ago, 50 Cent, aka Curtis Jackson, sat down for an interview with The Breakfast Club and revealed that he turned down a $3 million offer to perform at a Donald Trump rally. He further added that he also rejected the offer to perform at the Republican National Convention. On Wednesday, Stephen Espinoza reacted to the news and mocked the American presidential candidate for not being able to land the rapper. He took to the ‘X’ and wrote, “50 Cent Turned Down Donald Trump’s $3 Million Offer to Perform at Madison Square Garden Debacle. LOL.”

It looks like Espinoza’s reaction did not sit well with Rick Glaser, a known Trump supporter, as he slammed the 54-year-old and wrote, “Stephen, interesting, because you’ve sold your soul for a lot less.” While it is not clear what Glaser is specifically talking about, this is not the first time when Glaser has indirectly accused Espinoza of something shady. After all, Espinoza was an honorable mention in Glaser’s ‘Top 15 Bad Guys in Boxing’ list he released a few weeks ago.

The Boxing insider has often accused Espinoza of inflating PPV numbers during his time at Showtime which, Glaser believes, led to the premier boxing broadcasting organization’s demise. Glaser has openly accused Showtime of misrepresenting Floyd Mayweather’s fight numbers to paint a better financial picture.

While Espinoza took the admission by 50 Cent as a way to mock Donald Trump, because of his different political approach. The reason given by the rapper for denying the offer is something else entirely.

Is 50 Cent scared of politics?

50 Cent revealed that he refused the offer as he did not want to be associated with politics at all. “I’m afraid of politics. I do not like no part of politics,” stated the New York rapper. He also clarified that he will stay away from anything related to religion and politics in the future as well.

During the interview, the hip-hop mogul also mentioned that organizers asked him to perform his famous song “Many Men” at the Republican National Convention over the summer. But because of how afraid 50 Cent was of politics, he did not discuss the matter any further.

Stephen Espinoza took the rapper’s statement slightly out of context. But it is evident that Rick Glaser, who is like a ghost on Espinoza’s shoulder, will not let anything like this pass by.
