Undefeated Boxing Champion Issues a Unique Challenge to Six-Time NFL Pro Bowl Legend

The sport of boxing entails all kinds of storylines. It is one of the most famous grounds for trash talking among fighters and other athletes. As such, it is common to see boxers call each other out for a fight. However, recently, the unified welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr. was called out by someone outside of boxing.

The 32-year-old champion was challenged by former NFL player Chad Johnson on Twitter as he replied to one of Spence’s tweets.

Chad Johnson wants to spar with Errol Spence Jr.

It all started when another American football star, Micah Parsons, outside linebacker for the Dallas Cowboys, raised an issue about his ratings on Madden NFL 23 video game by EA Sports. Parsons believed his change of direction rating of 75 was too low and it should have been at least 95.

Furthermore, Spence agreed with this sentiment as he replied, saying “we need change of direction to be at least 84.. & block shedding Need be fixed to.”

However, instead of Parsons, Spence received a reply from the six-time NFL Pro Bowl legend Chad Johnson, who challenged the undefeated boxer. Johnson said, “Let’s spar & I’ll make him a 99.”

The unified welterweight champion accepted Johnson’s sparring challenge on one condition, Spence would want to take on Johnson at his game as well.

Although the former NFL star hasn’t replied to Spence yet. The match-up between the two in two different sports would be a sight to see for every sporting fan in the world.

What happened the last time Spence entered the ring?

The last time ‘The Truth’ traded blows inside the squared circle was against the former WBA welterweight champion Yordenis Ugas on April 16, 2022, at the AT&T Stadium in Texas. Unsurprisingly, the welterweight duo put on a scintillating performance for the fans.

However, Spence proved too much of a challenge for Ugas as he defeated the Cuban fighter via tenth-round technical knockout. Finally, Spence became the unified welterweight champion of the world.
