Mayweather will be back in action after his previous exhibition match against former sparring partner Don Moore. Money will be returning to Japan after four years of beating Japanese kick boxer Tenshin Nasukawa back in 2018. He will face off against the MMA fighter Mikuru Asakura in an exhibition bout. The fight will be co-promoted by Japanese promotion RIZIN, however the details and rules of this fight are yet to be released. It was reported that ‘Money’ made almost $88 million against Nasukawa and would look to get a similar payday for this fight as well.
Although Mayweather retired from boxing almost six years ago, he has competed in a lot of exhibition fights. Along with the ones mentioned above, he has also had an exhibition bout with Youtuber turned boxer, Logan Paul, back in 2021. Even at 45 years of age, the boxing legend is still competing in the squared circle and has shown no signs of fully retiring from sport yet.
