The NFT craze has taken over the world of celebrities as well, with Bored Ape Yacht Club leading the way with their collection of over 10,000 different tokens of apes. The average BAYC is sold for around $200,000, with some of them even garnering over a million dollars.
Moreover, celebrities like Stephen Curry, Eminem, and many others are owners of BAYC tokens, with most of them updating their social media profiles to show off their purchases. Stephen Curry currently holds the #7990 token which he bought for a whopping $180,000 last year.
Steph Curry is now part of the Bored Ape Yacht Club (“BAYC” in his Twitter bio), a collection of 10,000 unique Bored Ape NFTs.
The 2x MVP paid 55 ETH for this one, which is $180,000 — or, 0.39% of his $45.7M salary next season.

However, this pales in comparison to what rapper Eminem paid for his #9055 token, which was reported to be around $462,000.The BAYC has seen unprecedented growth and has burst onto the scene with many notable figures hopping onto the trend.

Youtuber Logan Paul was one of the first major influencers to promote NFTs and also played a major role in their growth. Therefore, it was no surprise when he bought the #1442 token and became a part of the club.

Moreover, athletes like former NBA player Shaquille O Neal and tennis ace Serena Williams are also proud owners of this NFT, with both of them owning the Mutant Ape #14452 and Bored Ape #5797, respectively. Furthermore, other major athletes who own a BAYC NFT include the 6-time Super Bowl champion, Tom Brady, NBA player LaMelo Ball and soccer star, Neymar Jr.
