Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder Look in Phenomenal Shape Ahead of the Rematch

Tyson Fury takes on Deontay Wilder in one of the biggest rematches in boxing history. After a thrilling yet controversial ending in the first encounter, fans are expecting nothing less than a war in the rematch. And after the weigh-ins, it can be assured that fans are in for another thrilling ride.

Both fighters have packed on the pounds ahead of their heavyweight clash this Sunday with Tyson fury weighing in at 273 pounds and wilder weighing in at 231 pounds.

Looking cool, calm and as confident as ever the Gypsy king intentionally packed on the pounds to ensure that he knocks wilder out. Deontay Wilder has gone with the same approach, coming in 12 pounds heavier than his last fight with Ortiz with his intentions just the same as Fury’s.

Given that both men are looking to settle their unfinished business, one must look at the advantages and disadvantages of bulking up. This extra weight will surely give them that extra knockout power both fighters are looking for, the probable disadvantages may include a slight slow down in pace but given the fitness levels of both fighters, I am sure this is something that won’t faze them.

Both fighters possess extreme power already with wilder’s record standing in at 41 knockouts out of 42 fights and the Gypsy king’s record at 20 knockouts out of 30 fights. This extra weight is just the icing on the cake.

Despite starting in a very respectful manner, both fighters have been the complete opposite during fight week. The press conferences have been harsh with both fighters throwing insults at each other as fast as their jabs. The press conferences have been as amusing as ever with Fury branding wilder as a “Dosser” and wilder calling his counterpart a “clown”, the stakes this time are truly as high as ever.

Despite packing on the extra weight both men look as fit and sharp as ever. All of Fury’s training videos point towards a very fit and fast boxer who can last all 12 rounds with no hiccups whatsoever and the same goes for wilder with his devastating power on display for the world to see. Both fighters are undoubtedly coming in at their best and given all the videos put out in regards to their training camps we know that both fighters have been extremely meticulous and strategic in preparing for this fight.
