On a separate note, Tabatha Ricci, Walsh’s girlfriend, who is a UFC fighter, suggested Walsh might soon jump rings to fight in the UFC. However, as of right now, Walsh is celebrating his latest win, after defending his WBC US silver super welterweight title. So, when Walsh received the gift from Don Frye, he quickly took to Instagram, sharing the gift and the accompanying message with his followers.

Callum Walsh writes back to Don Frye

Turning to Instagram, Walsh revealed a signed card from Frye that had a message. Frye suggested that he was glad about not fighting in the same weight division as Walsh. It read, “I’m glad we are in different weight classes!” Walsh had the card propped over his WBC title belt, which he defended in his last fight.

However, the story doesn’t end there! In Walsh’s Instagram story, he wrote back to Don, claiming even he is glad about not fighting in the same weight class. “I’m glad we’re different weight classes too. Thank you,” Walsh wrote. Tabatha Ricci thinks Walsh may fight in the Octagon

While Walsh successfully defended his title in his last fight, the same cannot be said about Ricci, who lost the recent fight against Lupita Godinez in UFC 259. However, before the fight in MMA Fighting’s Trocação Franca podcast, Ricci revealed Walsh’s true intentions. According to Ricci, Walsh doesn’t like boxing.

“He doesn’t like boxing. He only does it because he’s good,” said Ricci. She went on to reveal that Walsh’s real goal is to fight in the MMA. Ricci also added that Walsh doesn’t follow the sport of boxing, suggesting he competes in boxing because he is good at it. “He doesn’t even follow boxing that much. He does it because he’s really good at it,” said Ricci.

After winning his ninth boxing match, Walsh received a gift from UFC legend alongside the message.
