LeBron James commends Conor McGregor for his performance against Floyd Mayweather

On August 26, 2017, the world witnessed one of the biggest crossover events billed as ‘The Money Fight’. Five-division champion Floyd Mayweather went toe to toe against former UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor in a boxing match.

Unsurprisingly, the undefeated boxer extended his record to 50-0 as he stopped McGregor in the 10th round of the fight. NBA star LeBron James came out in support of the Irishman as he called him tough to get in the ring.

He said, “You’ve got to respect him, though, because he ain’t no boxer. Tough as a motherf***er.” Furthermore, James humbly accepted that he would be no match for Mayweather either as he’d be “dropping in the first round”, per Bleacher Report.
