Though the pair is in the news of a probable clash for many months, the recent back-and-forth started on April 27. The CEO of dominance MMA management and Usman’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz, labeled the Mexican star as ‘chicken‘ for not accepting ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’s challenge. He further mentioned why Canelo Alvarez is ducking the UFC champion.

The 31-year-old reacted to it. He added laughing emojis and wrote, “who the f*ck is this?”

In fact, this was not the first time that Alvarez had mentioned payday while rejecting Usman’s challenge.

Tyson Fury earned 56 times more money for his Dillian Whyte title defense than UFC champion Francis Ngannou earned from Ciryl Gane title defense.
