Darren Till backed up every bit of his pre-fight trash talk, finishing Luke Rockhold inside three rounds this Saturday night. But the real drama unfolded once the Misfits 22 fight was over. The former UFC star wasted no time heading straight toward ex-super middleweight champion Carl Froch, who was seated ringside among the crowd at Manchester’s AO Arena. Needing to be restrained by security, an exasperated Till shared his intentions during an interview.

“Where the f— is Carl Froch? You little s—house?” Till said during his post-fight interview. “You got so much to say on your little YouTube channel with 10k viewers. Get in this f—ing ring, you little s—house. He’s f—ed off. He’s not about that life.” Froch ignored Till’s antics and left the arena. Till wasn’t all too pleased, though. The pair has been exchanging barbs online for a while now, so during a conversation with iFL TV later, Till continued his attack on Froch.

“Obviously, I did,” Darren Till said when asked about his outburst. “Does he want to f—ing fight or not? Cuz I want to fight Carl Froch. Let’s f—ing go. Let’s sell out Wembley. Let’s do it. But the little s—t house ran away. He left it before I could even get him in the ring… He’s a parcel. That guy, mate, that guy’s a parcel.” When pressed about what Till would have said had Carl Froch entered the ring after the fight, ‘The Gorilla’ didn’t hold back.

“What are you saying now? What? What lad? Like he’s chatting all like…,” Till explained what he would have said to Froch. “Look, let’s just be real for a sec. He was one of the best British boxers. He was one of the best. Punched like a mule. He was phenomenal. But he’s chatting. He beats MMA fighters. I don’t know what he’s going on about. If he wants to get in here and have a go, we’ll have it. Come on,” he added during the interview.

Froch hasn’t fought since his TKO win over George Groves in May 2014, and doesn’t appear to be interested in a boxing comeback unless a substantial offer is made to him. In the meantime, Froch seems more interested in facing another opponent.

Carl Froch doesn’t want Darren Till; his sights are set on someone else

The boxing legend stirred excitement in the British boxing circles, as he dared rival George Groves to a trilogy fight. According to a report from Athlon Sports, the former champion shared the playful challenge in June, reminding fans of one of the more heated rivalries in boxing. The pair first met in 2013 at the Manchester Arena in what became the ‘Battle of Britain.’

Even though Groves was leading on the scorecards, Froch retained his WBA and IBF super middleweight titles with a controversial ninth-round stoppage. The following year, they met again for a rematch at Wembley Stadium, drawing massive attention. Froch, once again, scored the win via eight-round knockout that closed their chapter.

Reflecting on the idea of meeting Groves again, Froch joked, “But we wouldn’t sell out a Wembley Arena, maybe I’m selling myself short, maybe we’d sell out Blackpool pier.”

Having said that, it doesn’t look like Darren Till, despite his brutal win over Rockhold, will get his wish granted unless Misfits decides to make an offer to Carl Froch that he can’t refuse. Would you like to watch that fight?
