If you ask about fighters who had a wonderful 2021, you’ll find YouTuber turned boxer Jake Paul on the list. ‘The Problem Child’ managed to eclipse UFC superstar, Tyron Woodley, twice in the same calendar year.

The combat sports world has recognized Paul’s prowess and wants him to take on opponents his size. Meanwhile, UFC middleweight Chris Weidman has a suggestion.

On his Won’t Back Down podcast, Weidman asserted that former UFC champion Anderson Silva would be the perfect opponent for Jake Paul. “I would love to see him fight Anderson Silva. He’s calling out all these fighters with UFC contracts. I don’t think he’s really.”

“None of these fights are going to happen at this point… Anderson Silva is not in contract. He’s a professional boxer, he’s been looking great. He just beat a world champion in his last fight… And they are right around the same weight, same size.”

Weidman later opined that Paul won’t take up on the offer as he wants to put on a show and not an actual fight.

Currently, Weidman is spending time away from the octagon because of a horrible leg injury. ‘The All-American’ snapped his leg in the first round of his bout with Uriah Hall back in April.
