“He’s a Role Model for Me” – UFC Champion Brandon Moreno Talks About Canelo Alvarez’s Influence on Him

The sport of boxing has seen innumerable stars until today, but none of them could match the aura of the sport’s current sensation, Canelo Alvarez. The latter is one supremely skilled boxer who has all his boxing departments covered. With that, he’s outclassed a huge chunk of his opponents and that’s how he’s become the pound-for-pound king of the sport.

Not only boxing, but Alvarez’s fan base is spread across many combat sports verticals. He has inspired a generation of budding boxers and MMA stars. The UFC flyweight champ Brandon Moreno is one such name on that list. Recently, Moreno talked to ESNEWS about the influence Canelo has on him.

“Man, that guy is a role model, you know. He’s a role model for me, he’s a role model for all the new generations. He’s amazing, he’s the best boxer on the planet, pound for pound right now,” he said.

Canelo has turned into a flamboyant star of the sport quickly. Also, over the past few years, he has remained highly active with his boxing stint, thus testing his skills against the best boxers of the modern era.
