Paul posted a video with the words that said, ‘Jake Paul 8/12.’ Moreover, he also wrote as a caption, “I’m back. August 13th.”

Boxing fans believe that this is a sign signaling Paul’s return to the ring. However, talks are abuzz about who his potential opponent might be.

Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury

Jake Paul was initially scheduled to fight Fury on December 18, 2021, at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.

However, the fight did not materialize. Fury was forced to withdraw from the fight due to a severe bacterial chest infection and a broken rib. Paul even took to social media to call out Fury for backing out. Moreover, he also tried to get a fight signed with Fury on multiple occasions.

However, after his sensational victory against Daniel Bocianski, Fury called out Paul and asked him to set up a fight. He specifically said, “Get the contract signed you bum! Let’s get it done once and for all!”

A potential Fury vs Paul bout has been one of the most highly anticipated fights in the past few years.

Paul vs Sonny Bill Williams

For many fighters, a bout with ‘The Problem Child’ is a sure-shot trip to the bank vault. Paul’s fights have been raking in big paychecks both for him and his opponents.

Meanwhile, Paul revealed a rather intriguing name as a potential opponent for his fight in August. He named New Zealand heavyweight boxer and former rugby league player Sonny Bill Williams as a potential contender for a fight.

Paul was talking at ‘THE FIGHT with Teddy Atlas‘ podcast with host Teddy Atlas and co-host Ken Rideout.

In conversation, Rideout asked Paul, “What’s next. Who are you fighting in August?”

However, Rideout hilariously shuts down Paul’s prospect.

Paul then revealed the name of his prospective opponents. He mentioned that he wants to face Anderson Silva and Michael Bisping. Further, he also added, “Tommy Fury… Sonny Williams out of Australia.”

It is, however, worth noting that Paul might have to work on getting the nationalities of his opponents correct.
