Last Saturday, Jake Paul created history as the YouTuber turned boxer TKO’d former UFC champion Tyron Woodley in their rematch. Meanwhile, even before he met ‘The Chosen One’ in their rematch, the youngster had been on a call-out frenzy. He even called out Boxing legend Canelo Alvarez. However, famous sports analyst Stephen A. Smith has ridiculed ‘The Problem Child’ for his antics.

In an interview with a renowned media outlet, Paul told the host about his aspirations and target for the future. “You know, I plan on fighting pro boxers. I eventually wanna take down Canelo Alvarez.”
Later, Smith addressed ‘The Problem Child’ during one of his shows and scolded Paul for attempting to call out professionals such as Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez. “That’s a joke. It’s an insult. Here’s the deal – Canelo’s the best in the world. He’ll knock Jake Paul out in one round. He’ll take him out,” Smith said.

“But more importantly, Jake Paul hasn’t earned the right to be in the ring with somebody as serious, and as lethal, and as accomplished as Canelo.”
Until now, Paul has managed to beat five opponents in his two-year-long boxing career. Notably, his opponents include a YouTuber, a basketball player, and two professional MMA fighters. However, he faced his toughest competition in the form of Tyron Woodley, who happens to be a former UFC champion.

How does Jake Paul fare against Canelo Alvarez?
Canelo Alvarez is a boxing legend, who has proven himself in every way possible. Canelo is currently the first undisputed super middleweight champion of the world. Interestingly, he achieved this feat by winning the WBA (Super), WBC, Ring titles, and WBO titles. The latest one was the IBF title, which he won by knocking out Caleb Plant in November.

Contrastingly, Paul has not tried himself in any professional boxing bout against real boxers. Currently, he holds notable wins over only two fighters – Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley. However, it’ll be interesting to see how far Jake Paul takes his career and if he can manage to make a fight against the legend, that is Canelo Alvarez, happen.
