Conor McGregor made headlines when he agreed to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr in 2017. The UFC superstar is famous for his witty trash talk, and this fight against one of the greatest boxers ever was no different. Even though it’s been more than 5 years since the world witnessed this historic and sensation boxing matchup, this fight is still a topic of discussion for many fans worldwide. It is worth noting that the Irishman did exceptionally well in a new domain of combat sports. And still deserves praise for his performance. It seems like Joe Rogan is still in awe of McGregor’s skills as a boxer. And, shares his honest opinion on the fight.
In a recent podcast episode, Joe Rogan discussed the iconic bout between McGregor and Mayweather Jr. Rogan, with UFC fighter Jorge Masvidal discussed the feats of Mayweather Jr as a boxer.

Rogan and Masvidal talk about McGregor Vs. Mayweather Jr
On the recent episode of JRE with Jorge Masvidal sitting on the other end of the table. The whole conversation began when Rogan said, “Conor would’ve been a great boxer. He’s got a tremendous uppercut too.”
Further, Rogan recalled how McGregor caught Mayweather Jr with his uppercut which even startled the former five-division world champion.

The 55-year-old UFC commentator added, “He[Conor] just wasn’t composed enough to go ten rounds with one of the greatest of all time. ” Furthermore, the duo went on to discuss the greatness and achievements of Floyd Mayweather Jr as a professional boxer. Rogan said, ” If you wanna look at guys who never got hit. Floyd, in his career, got hit hard three or four times. He was defensively unparalleled. And he wasn’t a mover. He stood in front of you.”

Jorge Masvidal recalled Mayweather Jr’s one of most exceptional performances inside the ring when he fought Diego Corrales. He said, “one of my all-time favorite fights. Early in his career, when he used his legs, then nobody could touch him. That’s a Mayweather that nobody could possibly beat.” One would have to agree with these two sensations when they talk about ‘Money’ Mayweather. Rogan also noted how Mayweather Jr developed hand problems as he broke his hands multiple times. This is not the first time Joe Rogan talked about the greatness of Floyd Mayweather Jr. He has talked about the boxing champ on numerous occasions on his podcast.
