Conor McGregor, without a doubt, is the biggest combat sports personality of all time. The Irishman, in his UFC stint, went on to become the biggest superstar of MMA. Apart from his trash talks, and other controversies, McGregor is known for taking a stand for his compatriots and close ones.
‘The Notorious’ shares a special relationship with many fighters from Ireland. Katie Taylor, too, holds a spot on his list. Over the past few years, McGregor and Taylor’s bond has only gotten better and they share massive respect for each other’s achievements.

Recently, Taylor, who was on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, opened up and gave an honest notion about the ex-UFC double champ. She said, “He’s always been a fantastic support to me, but I think he’s just someone who’s actually transcended the sport. He’s like for me, is the Muhammad Ali of the UFC. He’s just a fantastic athlete and a great businessman as well.”

“What he’s done in the sport and UFC has been absolutely incredible and I don’t think he’s celebrated as much as he should be here in Ireland,” said Taylor.
McGregor has always lauded Taylor ‘The Bray Bomber’ for her efforts in the boxing space. He also met Taylor after her fight in 2018, and their photos went viral on the internet.
