The ‘Call Her Daddy’ podcast came in like a breath of fresh air and has quickly swept the globe. Alexandra Cooper, who is originally from Pennsylvania, hosts the program. Dave Portnoy of ‘Barstool Sports’ was a guest on the Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson podcast. As the episode progressed, while talking to Mike Tyson, he described the inception of the ‘Call Her Daddy’ podcast. Apparently, Portnoy saw her do a sizzle reel, and he reached out to her over a call. He stated, “And called her and I’m like, who made this sizzle reel for you? She’s like I did, I was like, what do you mean you did? She’s like, yeah, I learned to edit, cut it, sizzle. Once she said that, I was like all right you ever want to do this full time, signed her for a pretty small contract. Her and her partner, she was like I do it with another girl, Sophia. We signed a 3-year deal, 70 grand a year for three years, and things just exploded like it became the biggest thing really in podcasts and kind of the internet.”

In addition, Cooper inked a sizable contract with Spotify, one of the biggest audio streaming services, after the contract with “Barstool Sports”. Currently, the podcast has 1.8 million Instagram followers in addition to 617k subscribers on its YouTube channel.
