MMA Coaches and Managers Accuse Jake Paul of Capitalizing on UFC’s “Downfall”

With Jake Paul looming over the UFC and Dana White for fighters’ pay, many in the MMA community believe he is not sincere in his approach. However, he has been bringing a lot of attention to the topic, that many have hesitated to talk about. Some close members of the sport share their thoughts on Paul’s objectives.

ESPN’s Marc Raimondi spoke to a few members inside the MMA community.

One coach pointed out Paul’s hypocritical practices, as he has taken advantage of an MMA fighter, Tyron Woodley, and took his shine. Paul knocked out an aging Woodley twice inside the boxing ring.

A recognized manager doubted his intentions and said, “The spotlight he is shining on MMA-related issues is only worth the tweets that promote it, will not change anything. Not even a little.”

However, another manager explained, Paul has got nothing to lose, and that is the perfect weapon against the UFC.

Paul has presented both the MMA and Boxing community a unique puzzle that they cannot understand. Apart from talking, even in-ring, he has done exceptionally, especially considering he has only five fights.

Jake Paul viciously knocked out Tyron Woodley

‘The Problem Child’ got the finish in the rematch against ‘The Chosen One‘. Also, the knockout looked brutal, with a flush right hand to the temple; Woodley went to the floor and looked stiff immediately. Though many favored Paul to win, it surpassed all the expectations. However, even the boxing community does not give him any credit.

The issue both the sports are finding with him is his quick rise and the ability to transfer his YouTube audience and generate money and fame like never seen before.

In boxing, neither fans nor promoters care about the fighters till they have stacked a bunch of wins and have an undefeated record. However, Paul has defied this and found unprecedented success in his initial career.

In conclusion, people in MMA and Boxing are still not sure how to react to this Jake Paul saga.
