Oscar De La Hoya’s Take on Criticism Received by Bitter-Foe Dana White Will Shock You

The former six-weight class champion Oscar De La Hoya had started an MMA organization back in 2018, in the name of Golden Boy MMA. Unfortunately, after producing one event, the former champ stopped it. Moreover, it led to a rivalry with the UFC president Dana White, who runs the biggest MMA organization across the globe. The duo engaged in a properly heated exchange on social media platforms. But as of now, it seems that De La Hoya has realized and taken on criticism that will stun you.
Recently, talking to MMA Hour, De La Hoya discussed his feud with his former friend turned foe, Dana White.

According to ‘Golden Boy’, the first MMA event he organized turned out to be a massive success. It sold the entire arena and gave an exciting experience. Since he already promotes boxing matches so he found the business model for both sports to be similar.
He said, ” I received too much heat from Dana White. I mean, that’s literally the bottom line.”

Furthermore, De La Hoya accepted the mistakes he did while promoting his MMA organization that put him on heated grounds with White. Per De La Hoya, the biggest reason that turned out to be a stumbling stone was that he really didn’t know the insights of MMA.

He said, “Everything that goes on all the players and everything the fighters and so you know Dana criticized me and all that and it’s for a good reason I mean you know there were some exchanges going back and forth me and Dana which I apologize to him thousand percent.”

However, after such a feud, De La Hoya still believed that there was a lot of business left between White and him that he wanted to carry on in the future. According to De La Hoya, if White wanted, they could sit together and discuss merging their organization to start something new and unique.
