UFC lightweight contender Paddy Pimblett was not enthralled after being asked about his relationship with Dr. Usman Sajjad. The controversial doctor has been under heavy scrutiny since one of his clients, Conor Benn, recently failed a drug test. This led to his fight with Chris Eubank Jr. being called off after he tested positive for a banned substance in a VADA test.

Moreover, Sajjad has been under fire for his infamous interview, where he revealed the workings of the testing process and how to cheat it. This must be the reason why the British UFC star dismissed a reporter when asked about the doctor.

Paddy Pimblett was disgusted at a reporter for asking about Conor Benn’s doctor

In the pre-fight press conference leading to his UFC 282 bout against Jared Gordan, Pimblett was asked about his relationship with Sajjad. The reporter claimed that ‘Paddy The Baddy’ had a picture with the doctor on his website and wanted him to further elaborate on that. However, Pimblett was quick to call out the reporter as he looked visibly disgusted at the question. He stated that he only had one picture with the doctor and never worked with him in his life.

“So I just took a picture with someone. I have never worked with him. He took me to get an MRI scan once that all right or is that?” said Pimblett. Sajjad has now become the black sheep of the British fighting community since Conor Benn’s failed test. Moreover, fighters are now hesitant to even be remotely associated with a doctor whose legacy has been forever tarnished.

Dave Allen claims Conor Benn is a ‘drug cheat’

British heavyweight boxer Dave Allen made some bold claims regarding the Conor Benn situation. In an interview with SecondsOut he claimed that Benn was a ‘drug cheat’ and knowingly used PEDs before his fight. “Conor Benn was an exciting fighter, I’ve met the guy loads of times and he is a nice kid. He’s still a nice kid, it doesn’t make him not a nice kid, but at the minute, for me, he has the drug cheat tag on him.” said Allen.

With Benn now relinquishing his boxing license, it is unknown when he will fight next. However, we might not get to see the British boxer in action for quite some time as bans related to PEDs can last for years. Benn is currently 26 years old and about to reach his prime, which might have been wasted due to his poor decisions.
