Former UFC champion Anderson Silva recently made a startling revelation just days before his bout against YouTube sensation Jake Paul. The Spider will face Paul in a boxing match on October 29th in Phoenix, Arizona after the latter failed to go through with his previous bouts.

In an interview, the 48-year-old revealed that he had been knocked out twice in sparring sessions leading up to the fight. Silva stated that he had been training with high-level boxers that unfortunately ended in him being KO’d twice.

Moreover, the boxing world was also quick to call out the former champion as they reacted to his shocking statement.

One fan stated that Silva was now making excuses as the fight drew closer. “Here comes the excuses” he wrote. Another fan also added that ‘The Spider’ was setting up his excuses if he didn’t manage to win. “Well there you have it! Anderson setting the stage to take the fall. Can’t believe people watch this circus.” he wrote.

Following this, one fan even claimed that the fight was fixed if Silva were to lose. “If he win it’s real if he lose its 100% scripted…!!!”

Moreover, one fan even went as far as claiming that this update sounded like an unmitigated disaster as the fight approached. “This sounds like disaster waiting to happen.”

Lastly, one fan stated that he too would take a loss, for one million dollars. “I’d take the dive too for a mil,” he wrote

As is the case with most of Paul’s boxing matches, the fans seem skeptical about the integrity of this event. Therefore, they were not shy to point out Silva’s statement just days before the fight and called him out.
