When asked about when it was like to face the middleweight GOAT of MMA, Anderson Silva, Tito Ortiz had a rather scathing reply. ‘The Huntington Beach Bad Boy’ lived up to his moniker and decided to attack Silva’s in-ring fighting style. Silva is known to be a showman inside the cage and Ortiz said that he wasn’t going to be falling for Silva’s flashy moves.

“I’m just excited for this fight in general… I’m going to fight. I’m not fighting in a 30-foot octagon, I’m fighting in a squared circle. This is a fight, I use two fists, try to punch through Anderson’s face. Anderson is going to do his little magic wing chun, Brucc Lee Bullsh*t. I’m going to come to fight.”

“I think I fight my entire life in wing chin, Bruce Lee stuff, [it] saved my life inside the ring, inside the cage. I don’t like to talk too much you know, I like to go inside the ring, go inside the cage and do my job. I’m not [to] disrespect nobody.”

It’s no surprise that Silva has decided to take the high road in the face of Tito Ortiz’s verbal jabs. Excluding Chael Sonnen, no fighter has successfully managed to get under his skin and provoke him to fight differently in the cage. After a successful display against a pro like Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in his last fight, Silva will be confident in his abilities against Ortiz.
