The Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley rematch is still one of the most heavily discussed fights ever. To the shock of many, Paul knocked out the former UFC welterweight champion in the sixth round to claim a glorious victory. It has been 3 years since the fight, but the fans are still suspicious of foul play.

These claims were once again sparked when a video featuring Woodley’s supposed “cousin” went viral on social media. The person in the clip claimed that Woodley was paid off to lose the fight intentionally. The video went viral on the internet immediately to the point that the former UFC champion himself had to step up and clear the allegations.

Tyron Woodley isn’t playing

The video in question features an interview where several fans were asked for their prediction for the Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul upcoming fight. During these interviews, one person who stepped up to the mic hilariously stated that Paul could win the fight if “it’s paid off,” otherwise Tyson has the upper hand. The fan did not stop there and went further ahead to state“Tyron Woodley is my literal f**king cousin, my name is Julian Woodley so I know for a fact that that motherf**ker got paid to take the fall,” implying the fact that the former UFC champion was paid to take the fall and in a fair fight, the Problem Child has no chance of winning.

The accusations did not sit right with The Chosen One as he replied to the video clearing the air about his alleged cousin. The 42-year-old was not happy with the fact that someone was spreading lies about him. “N***a wish he was my kinfolk,” he wrote on X, mocking the fan who claimed to be related to him. The claims by the fan were already without any proof and the confession by Woodley has made it clear that the fan is not related to him and the fight was not rigged.

This is not the first time that Jake Paul has been accused of rigging his fight. In fact, during a press conference leading up to the fight with Tyson, ‘The Problem Child’ answered those allegations against him and angrily opposed them.

Jake Paul promises to be a Killer

Earlier the fight between Paul and Tyson was scheduled on July 20, 2024. But because of a health emergency faced by Iron Mike, the fight was postponed to November 15. During the early rounds of interviews, the YouTuber-turned-boxer was adamant about the fact that he was taking Tyson seriously and acknowledged the allegations against him of rigging the fights. He stated, “A lot of people are doubting me, a lot of people are saying if Jake wins then the fight is rigged because of how great he looks.”

As the fight date is getting closer, both of the fighters are taking it seriously and are sweating it out in training. Mike Tyson just revealed his 6-hour training schedule. He is also busy hitting out at his opponent while on the press run for the fight. On the other hand, Jake Paul has retaliated similarly further proving his mettle and his dedication towards the fight.
