

The upcoming Jake Paul vs. Anderson Silva showdown has gotten both boxing and MMA fans excited. Moreover, fans have been divided on who would emerge as the possible victor, the upcoming phenom, or the MMA GOAT. Meanwhile, Silva recently opened up about how the sport of boxing differs from MMA.

Silva was talking at Showtime’s ALL ACCESS. The series chronicled both Paul’s and Silva’s training camps. And also delved into unique methods both fighters incorporated into their camps.
Talking about his passion for the sport, Silva said, “I think the secret is passion. You need to love your job. When you love, you’re doing something special. That’s my whole vision about the success I make in my life. Mike Tyson, Roy Jones Jr. legends, you know. Old legends continue doing something special.”

He also mentioned that he wishes to become like these legends.

Silva further delved into the sport of boxing. He said, “I boxed in the past, in Brazil. When you fight MMA, it’s completely different. Boxing is more hard because you need to understand the game. The footwork, the hands, the position of your body. And, that for me, is a big challenge.”

Silva also mentioned that he tries to challenge himself during training in order to do something special.

Jake Paul has been on a persistent quest for a fight ever since his fights with Tommy Fury and Hasim Rahman Jr. failed to materialize. This was when it was announced that he will be facing the MMA legend, Anderson Silva.

‘Spider’ had previously showcased two sensational boxing performances in 2021. He faced both Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and Tito Ortiz in the year, winning the first fight by decision and the latter by knockout. It was reported that Paul will face Silva at the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona on October 29, 2022. Moreover, multiple notable names like Le’Veon Bell and Doctor Mike are fighting in the undercard.
