‘Win Some Lose Some’- Tito Ortiz Releases Statement After Being Brutally Knocked Out by Anderson Silva

Former UFC champion Tito Ortiz took to social media after his devastating KO loss to Anderson Silva in his boxing debut. ‘The Huntington beach bad boy’ was knocked out in merely 81 seconds in the co-main event of Triller’s recent production. Chiefly, this bout against Silva was the attraction on the card, as fans perceived the match to be somewhat competitive.
However, in reality, the bout was anything but competitive. Anderson Silva used his superior movement and ringman ship to shut down Ortiz. Tito Ortiz was visibly slower than his opponent and his punches seemed to lack steam. Silva used the ropes to his advantage and evaded several bullish shots before clocking Ortiz with a right hook.

Tito Ortiz folded like a lawn chair and was momentarily held up by the ropes before Anderson Silva put him out with some follow-up strikes. The image of seeing Tito Ortiz laying down face-first on the canvas is one that MMA fans are not accustomed to. Ortiz was known to be extremely durable, and he was rarely ever handled inside the MMA cage.

UFC Fans Troll Tito Ortiz’s Loss to Anderson Silva- Call It ‘Karma’
Tito Ortiz has something to say
The former UFC light heavyweight champion made sure to let fans know that he was down but not out. He promised a return to action in the future, even though there’s certainly a long way before he will be cleared for action.

Ortiz is clearly on the last legs of his illustrious combat sports career. However, he’ll most certainly want to leave on a high. Walking away from combat sports after suffering arguably his worst KO ever is likely a look Ortiz won’t want associated with himself.

Ripe with irony
Fans have taken notice that the way in which Ortiz was stopped was ironic given his pre-fight press-conference statements. He bashed Silva’s fighting style and called Silva’s unorthodox movement as ‘Wing Chun, Bruce Lee bullsh*t’.

These comments by Ortiz have certainly not aged well considering the way Anderson ended up finishing him off. ‘The Spider’ may have taken umbrage at Ortiz’s comments and decided to show Ortiz the potency of his techniques under the bright lights.
