Unlike other sports, a small mistake or a slight diversion of focus costs big in combat sports. There have been many contests where one would see a minor distraction leading to a brutal knockout.
Jorge Masvidal, who is a star UFC warrior, understands it well. Recently, he shared a post on Facebook which showed several brutal finishes. The interesting part is that many labeled it as a cheap form of winning, whereas the opponent took it as an opportunity.

In the beginning, the clip showed two boxers coming closer to touch the glove. Just after touching the gloves, one fighter threw a brutal left hook that knocked out the other one. Per boxing rules, there was nothing wrong in that shot.
However, it did not go well with boxing fans. They criticized this move.
A fan wrote, “F**king scumbag and coward. No honour in this victory may as well have lost.”
A fan wrote, “Would you consider that a cheap shot or no?”

Fans recalled the former five-weight division champ for his win over Victor Ortiz. The duo squared off in the ring for the welterweight title in 2011 in the MGM Grand of Las Vegas. Though Mayweather won the fight by fourth-round stoppage, he faced heavy criticism.
Actually, the undefeated champ was dominating the rounds, and the champion Ortiz was not able to do anything in return. He was failing to penetrate Mayweather’s defense. In the fourth round, he head-butted Mayweather on the ropes out of frustration.
This stunned the crowd, angered Mayweather, and as a result, the referee took immediate action. He deducted one point.
A short while when the fight resumed on the referee’s call, Mayweather threw a lethal left hook, followed by a right cross, while Ortiz was apologizing.
This sent Ortiz on the canvas. After the fight, it became Mayweather’s most controversial win.
