Former IBF super middleweight champion Caleb Plant took to Twitter and roasted famed MMA journalist Ariel Helwani. Chiefly, their initial reaction kicked off during fight week when Plant was gearing up to face P4P GOAT Canelo Alvarez. Ariel Helwani was reporting on the ground and ran into Caleb Plant, where both men exchanged a botched handshake.
Helwani ended up retweeting the video of the failed exchange between himself and Plant to garner some reactions on social media. He went so far as to say that he botched the handshake on purpose and walked away as the winner of their interaction. Helwani gave the interaction a 10-7 as per combat sports’ judging metrics, a figure that Caleb Plant ended up disagreeing with.
10-7 Helwani to be honest. I made @SweetHandsPlant think like he was leaving me hanging but in reality it was a rope a dope fake handshake move on my part. Levels. https://t.co/WBCUh5CPV6
